Conrad Electronics now offers WAGO's new smart thermal transfer label printer designed specifically for switchboards.

WAGO: The Smart Way of Label Printing

WAGO’s thermal transfer Smart Printer has been designed for everything and anything that needs to be labelled on switchboards.

  • Perfectly synchronised hardware and software
  • Fast and cost-efficient labelling
  • Easy to set up, wide range of uses

Making labelling of switchgear an easy and straightforward process helps companies save time and money. WAGO’s new Smart Printer comes with a wide range of hardware and software that enable the printing of tailored labels. The device uses thermal transfer technology and is now on sale at Conrad Electronic, further diversifying the already vast range of products available on the retailer’s sourcing platform, adding to the exhaustive choice available to business that look for electrical wiring supplies.

Fast and Easy Labelling to Keep Switchboards Neat
WAGO’s thermal transfer Smart Printer makes the whole labelling process highly efficient and generates quality output. The product is affordable, easy to set up and prints 300 dpi stickers that are both smudge- and scratch-proof and, therefore, basically last forever. Putting terminal identifiers, cable and wire markers, device ID badges and other label types in place is simple and doesn’t take up much time at all. “Whatever needs to be labelled, the Smart Printer does it,” explains Manuel Gschwend, Product Manager at Conrad Electronic. “This makes switchgear identifiable at a glance and keeps things consistent across the board.”

Label Printing Using SmartSCRIPT, CAE and the Smart Designer Configuration Software
WAGO’s thermal transfer Smart Printer can be operated via a serial interface as well as via USB and ethernet. The device comes with smartSCRIPT software that is easy to set up and simplifyies the use of WAGO labelling supplies. For instance, smartSCRIPT allows importing label content from Excel and CAE tools.

Printing labels directly in CAE is another way to save time. Thanks to EPLAN connectivity, the product prints electrical terminal identifiers, wire markers and other types of switchgear labels designed by using the CAE tool.

Moreover, you can generate label content using WAGO’s Smart Designer configuration software and forward it to the printer afterwards. Creating, for instance, terminal labels, only requires a couple of mouse clicks. There is also the new Printing Assistant feature that further speeds up the process.

Shipment includes a power supply unit, a USB cable, a thermal transfer endless label roll and a set of WMB Inline badges, two rollers, a roller mount, an ink ribbon and the smartSCRIPT labelling software plus the required driver.
