Parker Hannifin is excited to announce the launch of its latest web application, Transair Piping Designer. This innovative tool is designed to streamline the process of designing and specifying Transair compressed air piping networks, making it easier and more efficient for engineers, distributors, and contractors.
The Transair Piping Designer web application offers advanced technical features that enhance the design process. Users can leverage 2D and 3D rendering capabilities to visualize their network designs, enabling a comprehensive understanding of the layout and spatial relationships of components before installation. This feature improves accuracy and aids in identifying potential design flaws early in the process.
Upon opening a project, users benefit from a guided start-up that prompts them to enter key network characteristics (through the sizing function) such as compressor power, desired flow rate, pressure, network length, number of points of use, number of network rings, and compressor room specifications. This information allows the tool to pre-select technical specifications and design options, including network diameters, types of connections, predefined kits, network drops, and relevant accessories, making piping network design much easier. This streamlined approach significantly reduces the time spent on initial planning and ensures that designs are optimized for performance.
The Transair Piping Designer provides step-by-step guidance throughout the design process, automatically adding necessary components, such as elbow fittings, when designing a pipeline.
Additionally, the tool allows users to upload a customer’s PDF drawing and scale it appropriately, enabling the Transair network to be drawn directly on the same document (blueprinting). This integration of existing plans enhances collaboration and accuracy in project execution. Users can also export a comprehensive data summary—including sizing calculation notes, drawings, and bills of materials (BOM)—at any stage of the quotation process, facilitating seamless communication with clients and stakeholders.
The Transair Piping Designer guarantees up-to-date information thanks to its connections with other Parker digital platforms, including MyParker. This integration ensures that users can access the latest product specifications, stock availability, and pricing, allowing for informed decision-making throughout the design and quotation processes.
“The Transair Piping Designer is a game-changer for the industry,” said Olivier Gangloff, Transair Piping Systems Application Engineer. “It empowers users with the tools they need to design and quote projects with confidence, all while enhancing accuracy and efficiency.”
With the launch of the Transair Piping Designer, Parker reaffirms its commitment to providing innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of its customers. This web application not only simplifies the design process but also enhances collaboration between engineers and distributors, paving the way for more efficient project execution.
