Advantech's iConnectivity Group (ICG) unveils New ProView SCADA manageable series switches which are the world’s first convergence switches for process control and IT networking management.

Advantech Launches New ProView SCADA Manageable Switches
The ProView range of switches uses Modbus/TCP to communicate with the SCADA software and SNMP to communicate with the NMS (Networking Management System) at the same time, thereby allowing full read control over the devices either for control engineers or for IT. There are eight models in the ProView series be released in the first phase, the EKI-5525/I and EKI-5528/I are five and eight port 100 Mbit switches and the EKI-5725/I and EKI-5728/I are five and eight port Giga bit switches.

ProView series Ethernet switches with the Port-based QoS VIP port for deterministic data transmission allow the priority ports to prioritize the traffic coming over those ports and delay the less immediately necessary data over the remaining ports. This is especially useful for high bandwidth applications such as video streaming where latency would cause problems.

To further enhance the benefits of the ProView series Ethernet switches, Advantech have used the highest quality components, to enable the range to operate in temperatures of between -40 and 75oC (EKI-5525I, EKI-5528I, EKI-5725I, and EKI-5728I) along with Level 3 EMS protection to repel electromagnetic interface for industrial resistance therefore Advantech ProView series Ethernet switches are able to provide industrial grade reliability in the harshest of environments.

The eight models in the ProView series released in the first phase are the latest in a long line of popular industrial DIN Rail/None PoE switches and there are more SKUs including None PoE, PoE, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, DIN Rail, and rack mount switch varieties coming up to the market with different configurations to meet different requirements in various applications.
