New Hampshire Tech Alliance names Hypertherm’s Powermax SYNC “Product of the Year” finalist

Hypertherm, a U.S. based manufacturer of industrial cutting systems and software, today announced that its Powermax^® SYNC series—three new plasma systems with built-in intelligence and a revolutionary single-piece cartridge consumable—is a New Hampshire Tech Alliance Product of the Year finalist.

Product of the Year is an annual competition to recognize groundbreaking products that demonstrate excellence in innovation, performance, functionality, value, uniqueness, and ties to New Hampshire. Hypertherm and four other companies will present their products at an event on Thursday, October 28 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. eastern time. The New Hampshire Tech Alliance will stream the event live on YouTube and Facebook and give viewers a chance to vote for their favorite product. Votes from the audience will be combined with scores from the judges to select the 2021 Product of the Year. Register now to access the event and vote.

Powermax SYNC replaces the traditional 5-piece consumable stack-up with one color-coded cartridge. It automatically sets the correct amperage, air pressure, and operating mode, and provides end of life detection so operators know when a new cartridge is needed. Additionally, controls right on the torch allows operators to save time by adjusting the amperage and changing out the cartridge without returning to the power supply. As you use your Powermax SYNC system, it is continuously recording performance data such as the number of starts and arc-on time. Having this information can help operators and their managers more quickly identify issues and troubleshoot problems.

These features address the biggest challenges manufacturers are facing today. Manufacturers are under intense pressure to reduce costs and increase productivity to remain globally competitive.
