2021 PC-DMIS Users' Group Series to be held during Hexagon's Smart Manufacturing Virtual Open House

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division announced today it will present the second PC-DMIS Users’ Group series during their Smart Manufacturing Virtual Open House from June 14 – 16, 2021. Based on the success and positive audience feedback from the first PC-DMIS virtual series, Hexagon has organized another engaging three-day event for its large user base. Multiple PC-DMIS sessions will cover essential software capabilities and how they are best applied from program creation and routine execution to reporting and results analysis.

Users will also get a look at other Hexagon software solutions that can help solve specific metrology or workflow efficiency challenges. From the comfort of home or office, participants will have access to the entire Smart Manufacturing Open house including the keynote presentation and 20 sessions covering industry trending topics. On Monday, June 14, at 11:30 a.m., live PC-DMIS presentations will start with What's New in PC-DMIS / Part 1 and Part 2. This informative session will be presented by industry experts Ken Woodbine, Senior Product Manager – PC-DMIS Collaborative Solutions and Matthew Kopesky, PC-DMIS Lead Product Owner. During the users’ group sessions, attendees will have the chance to interact with metrology subject matter experts.

“We are excited to provide our second live virtual platform for the continuing education of PC-DMIS measurement professionals,” states Ken Woodbine. “Novice and expert users will learn how to power up workflow efficiency utilizing the latest PC-DMIS capabilities, directly from the PC-DMIS experts. There will be two special sessions covering the changes in metrology standards presented by our in-house expert involved in ASME standards creation. Our entire agenda is laser focused on PC-DMIS features that add immediate value to the daily use of the world’s most popular inspection software.”

Event programming continues on Tuesday and Wednesday with sessions that empower best practices using PC-DMIS. On Tuesday, June 15 at 10 a.m., Rob Jensen will present Measurement Standards and What They Mean to You / Part 1 and 2. Jensen is a Dimensional Standards Compliance Manager and Product Owner for Metrology Software, and a member of the ASME Y14 standards committee, chair of subcommittee Y14.5.1 and more.

On Wednesday, June 16 at 11:30 a.m., Neil Ryan, Product Owner for PC-DMIS Vision will discuss Non-contact Measurement with PC-DMIS. This session will cover the use of various non-contact sensors in PC-DMIS and their ideal applications. Ryan will also demonstrate the best workflows in PC-DMIS.
