Danfoss opens new plant in Poland to meet rising demand for energy-efficient solutions
Danfoss is strengthening its manufacturing footprint in Poland with the opening of a new 22,500 m² production facility in Tuchom, near Gdansk, Poland. Operated by HydronicS, a division of Danfoss Climate Solutions, the plant expands production capacity and operational flexibility to meet growing demand for energy-efficient heating and cooling solutions, particularly in the rapidly expanding data center and district energy markets.

October 9, 2026 | Tuchom, Poland
The new facility was officially inaugurated on October 8, 2026, in the presence of local authorities, customers, and business partners, marking an important milestone in Danfoss’s continued investment in Poland and coinciding with the company’s 35th anniversary in the country. The 22,500 m² plant brings advanced metal processing, assembly, and testing capabilities under one roof, with an annual production capacity of approximately 8,000 heavy-duty stations – prebuilt interface units that control, measure, and transfer thermal energy for heating and cooling in buildings.
Currently employing 250 people, the Tuchom facility has capacity for up to 500 employees and will support growing markets such as district energy and data centers. It will also serve as a Center of Excellence for data center solutions and a showroom for OEM customers, bringing production, development, and technology demonstrations together to strengthen Danfoss’s ability to respond to evolving market needs.
Expanding for growth
This major investment responds to growing demand driven by the green transition, helping improve efficiency, shorten lead times and expand customized production capabilities.
“Our new factory in Tuchom is an important step in executing our LEAP 2030 strategy and strengthening how we support customers in fast-growing markets. By increasing capacity and flexibility, while developing high-growth areas such as data centers and decarbonization solutions,” says Adam Jędrzejczak, Divisional President, Danfoss HydronicS..
An energy-efficient and electrified facility
Energy efficiency and electrification have been incorporated into the design and technical infrastructure of the new facility, providing a practical example of how technologies used in heating and cooling systems can benefit industrial operations.
Heating and cooling are provided by a cascade of heat pumps incorporating Danfoss inverter-driven compressors. The facility also features heat exchangers, balancing valves, frequency converters, thermostats, and other Danfoss technologies used in heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
The new Tuchom plant forms part of Danfoss’ broader approach to industrial decarbonization, with the company’s Decarbonization Path focusing on energy efficiency, the utilization of excess heat, and renewable energy solutions. The Decarbonization Path is an interactive tour demonstrating how Danfoss technologies support industrial decarbonization in practice. Enhanced with multimedia, infographics, and presentations, the tour showcases real-life solutions implemented in the factory and explains Danfoss’ three steps to decarbonization: reduce, reuse, and re-source.
Decarbonization through energy efficiency and electrification
For Danfoss, improving energy efficiency and increasing electrification are important elements in the transition away from fossil energy in industrial operations.
The approach is also reflected at the company’s Grodzisk Campus in Poland, where Danfoss has demonstrated the application of electrification, energy efficiency, and excess-heat recovery in its own manufacturing operations.
Designed for modern production and collaboration
The new facility comprises more than 19,000 m² of production, warehouse and technical space, together with nearly 3,500 m² of office and social areas.
Employee areas at Tuchom have been designed to support collaboration, productivity, and well-being. Facilities include canteens, meeting rooms, and dedicated areas for collaboration and teamwork.
Strengthening Danfoss’ position in Poland
The new facility builds on 15 years of Danfoss operations in Tuchom, strengthening the company’s manufacturing presence in Poland.
By expanding production capacity in the region, Danfoss is creating a platform for continued innovation, operational flexibility and the development of energy-efficient solutions.
“The new factory in Tuchom strengthens our ability to support customers, capitalize on growth opportunities, and drive innovation in key strategic markets. It is an important milestone for our business, our people and our continued growth in Poland,” concludes Edyta Szauła, Director, Supply Chain, Tuchom
