Sensitech & Carrier Transicold Advance Data-Driven Cold Chain Control

Fresh produce logistics and temperature-controlled transport rely on precise monitoring and refrigeration to maintain quality and reduce losses across increasingly complex global supply chains. Sensitech and Carrier Transicold, part of Carrier Global Corporation, will present their latest cold chain solutions at Fruit Logistica 2026.

The event takes place February 4–6, 2026, at Messe Berlin, where the companies will exhibit in Hall 27, Stand C-44. The focus is on data-driven tools and container refrigeration technologies that support temperature stability, product integrity, and sustainability throughout multimodal transport, including long-distance ocean shipments.

End-to-end shipment visibility
One of the core technologies on display is a cloud-based monitoring platform designed to continuously track temperature and environmental conditions throughout transit. Recent enhancements integrate vessel location data and predictive arrival times, extending visibility into ocean freight movements and helping logistics operators identify risks earlier in the journey.

Complementing this platform is a connected monitoring device capable of transmitting temperature, humidity, light, and location data in near real time. The device is designed for use across major transport modes, enabling continuous condition tracking from origin to destination and supporting data-driven decision-making when deviations occur.

Refrigeration and atmosphere control for containers
On the refrigeration side, Carrier Transicold will present a container refrigeration system engineered to reduce energy consumption and emissions compared with earlier-generation units. The system is designed to support stable temperature control for fresh produce while lowering operating costs for shipping lines and cargo owners.

Also featured is an active controlled-atmosphere solution that regulates oxygen and carbon dioxide levels inside refrigerated containers. By slowing the ripening process, the technology is intended to extend the shelf life of sensitive fruits and vegetables during long transit times. The controlled-atmosphere system is available in combination with the container refrigeration platform.

Cold chain performance and sustainability
Together, the monitoring and refrigeration technologies address two critical aspects of produce logistics: real-time visibility into cargo conditions and active control of the transport environment. By combining data analytics with energy-efficient hardware, the solutions aim to help shippers reduce food waste, improve operational efficiency, and meet sustainability objectives.

Product specialists from Sensitech and Carrier Transicold will be available at Fruit Logistica 2026, Hall 27, Stand C-44, to discuss application scenarios and integration into existing cold chain operations.
