LM Wind Power, a GE Renewable Energy business announced today the launch of its second 107-meter wind turbine blade mold (production line) at its Cherbourg factory in France, in order to address the industry’s demand for offshore wind turbine blades. The second mold has been through the prototype phase and will now start operations.

GE Renewable Energy and ACTA MARINE announced today the signature of a supply contract for the chartering of a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) for the commissioning activities of 80 Haliade 150-6MW turbines at the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm (“Parc éolien en mer de Saint-Nazaire”).

GE RENEWABLE ENERGY AND ACTA MARINE SIGN CONTRACT FOR SAINT-NAZAIRE OFFSHORE WIND FARM COMMISSIONING SERVICE OPERATION VESSEL

The Service Operation Vessel will support the GE Wind Turbines Mechanical Completion and Commissioning phase of the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm construction. The installation is anticipated to start in the second quarter of 2022. The Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm will be equipped with 80 Haliade 150-6MW and will have an installed capacity of 450 MW.
